YG's official acknowledgement of Psy's completion on his recording and comeback

YG Entertainment's Psy is known to have finished all the works for recording of his new songs recently.

According to a high-ranking insider of YG on the 13 this month, Psy finished all the recording works for his new songs a few days ago, and has begun discussions on music video. Notably, Psy will present a serious of new songs this time, not just one song as in the case of “Gentleman”.

Regarding the plan, it has been confirmed that YG is currently having discussions on the music video of those songs at the same time.

So, it has been proven that the reason why YG has been putting off the release of Psy’s new song after “Gentleman” in the first half of this year and the world-wide craze of “Gangnam Style” last year was to more thoroughly prepare his next leap forward.

“Gangnam Style” reached 1.8 billion views on world’s biggest video-streaming web-site YouTube, and has been in the unshakable No.1 place for the past few years. “Gentleman” recorded 600 million views and is being ranked in the 5th place on YouTube now.

Psy will hold five concerts in Korea from December 21 to 25, at Olympic Park’s Gymnastics Hall located in Bangi-dong, Seoul. Currently, Psy is busy preparing the concert and working on the new songs to be released soon.

Considering current conditions, Psy’s new songs are expected to be released by the time of his Seoul concert or in January next year. Not only Korean music fans but also music people around the year are paying keen attention to what achievement and success the series of Psy’s new songs for which he has been working hard will gain, following “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman”.
