YG Entertainment surprised fans as they released a teaser image and video that hints a formation of a “new unit”. Who could that be that two women?
At midnight on the 13, a teaser image and 30-second-long video of a mystical mood were posted on YG blog.
In the teaser image of the “new unit” released on the day, two women in white clothes are holding hands, but their faces are not visible. Plus, with a logo that implies a new unit, a phrase “ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU” is written on the image, which makes YG fans wonder about which artists are included in the new unit.
The 30-second-long video that was disclosed along with the teaser image gives off a mystical and dreamy feel, too. It begins with a scene where the logo rotates like a watch spring. A music box sound that feels cold and bleak in the background catches ears.
Besides, objects that give a feel of a horror movie, such as a Christmas tree, a sack dragged on the floor, and a rat eating a cake, appear in the video, creating a mysterious atmosphere in combination. Notably, a scene in which two persons in white clothes hold hands after passing an ax is impressive.
According to YG, “ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU” sung by the new unit is a song that covers Mariah Carey’s song with the same title. It is a love song with an up tempo, which has been loved by the public for a long time.
