G-Dragon’s Solo Album in Japan Gains Success, in Oricon Weekly Chart’s 2nd Place
G-DRAGON solo debut album is placed in the 2nd place on Oricon’s weekly chart, following its daily chart. His album also swept music scenes in and out of the South Korea this year.
G-DRAGON’s debut album in Japan “COUP D’ETAT+ ONE OF A KIND & HEARTBREAKER” which was released on the 27 last month is ranked in the 2nd place on Oricon’s weekly album chart for the first week of December, whose rankings were counted during a period from November 25 to December 1. The album has recorded 100,000 sales, which exceeds the first week’s sales record of BIGBANG’s full album “BIGBANG2” released in Japan in 2011, and “ALIVE” released in the country in 20102.
The new album contains tracks of G-DRAGON’s second full solo album “COUP D’ETAT” which was released in early September this year, as well as all tracks of “ONE OF A KIND”, a mini album in 2012 and “HEARTBREAKER”, G-DRAGON’s solo debut album released in 2009. New Japanese versions of “CROOKED”, “WHO YOU”, and “BLACK” are also included in the album. Notably, 2NE1’s BOM newly took part in the featuring of “BLACK”.
G-DRAGON held a fan meeting event on the 3 this month at Zepp Namba located in Osaka, Japan, to celebrate the release of his solo debut album in Japan. On December 16 and 17, he will meet fans in the Tokyo region, at Zepp Tokyo.
Plus, G-DRAGON has recently been holding Japan six dome tour, as a member of BIGBANG. On the 7 and 8 this month, BIGBANG holds concert at Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome.
