Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson praises actor Lee Byung Hun

G.I. Joe 2‘s DwayneThe RockJohnson praised actor Lee Byung Hun on his acting skills.

On January 17th, Dwayne Johnson was at the Le Meridien Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan for promotional matters at a press conference for his movie ‘Journey 2 : The Mysterious Island‘. Afterwards, he met with Korean reporters and shared his thoughts on what it was like to work with actor Lee Byung Hun who will reprise his role as ’Storm Shadow’ in the next ‘G.I. Joe’ movie.

He said, “I became close with Lee Byung Hun as we filmed ‘G.I. Joe 2′. It was a really great experience being able to meet him. He has strong presence when he walks into a room. He had my attention as soon I saw him. We ate together, and got along great. He is humble, he is confident, and well plays his character in the movie. I really liked the way he pulled off his action scenes and he was impressed with his acting skills.”

He also told a funny story he remembered about Lee Byung Hun.

He asked me before we began filming if there was a scene where he needed to take my shirt off. There weren’t any that I remembered, and I asked him why he was asking. He said that he had a scene where he had to take his off, and if I take mine off, it would make him look bad. I just laughed when I heard him say that.”

Dwayne Johnson made his debut in entertainment as a WWE wrestler under the name “The Rock”. After he made his breakthrough in Hollywood, he took on roles in movies such as ‘Scorpion King‘, ‘The Other Guys‘, and more.

Filming for ‘G.I. Joe 2′ has come to an end, and they’re currently working on the editing process. The movie is scheduled to air sometime this year.
