Love Rain is exported at the best price in all Korean dramas

Love Rain (written by Oh Soo Yeon and directed by Yoon Suk Ho), a well-made melodrama that attracts a lot of attention by starring Jang Keun Suk, the top Hallyu star, and SNSD’s Yoona, the leading role of the SNSD boom, signed a contract for pre-selling of the publication rights with Pony Canyon in Japan, proving the intense interest from the Japanese market.

Love Rain has been attracting a lot of attention from overseas markets including the Japanese market as it is directed by Yoon Suk Ho, who has been loved by many people from overseas countries and led Hallyu boom with his dramas such as Autumn in My Heart and Winter Sonata, and starring Jang Keun Suk and SNSD’s Yoona, currently extending their field of activity toward the overseas countries beyond Asia.
As if to prove its popularity, the contract for Love Rain‘s publication rights with Japan was completed earlier when its pre-production began.

It was exported at the best price in all Korean dramas that went to the overseas countries. In addition to this, Love Rain is also attracting a lot of attention from other overseas markets except for Japan, so it is expected to set a new record for overseas sales of Korean dramas.

Attracting a lot of attention domestically and internationally, it started filming from September and is currently filming part of the 70s, an introduction of the drama. It is reported that they are filming in a pleasant atmosphere despite their busy schedules.

A spokesperson of Love Rain says, “Love Rain has been attracting a lot of attention from overseas markets including Japan from its pre-production process as it is directed by Yoon Suk Ho who led the Hallyu boom and Hallyu stars Jang Keun Suk and SNSD’s Yoona. To respond to the great domestic and international interest, all crew members are trying their best to create the best drama.”

Love Rain is expected to be a well-made romantic melodrama with director Yoon Suk Ho’s ability to create watercolor-like scenes and sensibility. It includes love stories of the analogue generation in the 70s and the digital generation in 2012, expected to touch the audience’s heart. It is planning to air in early 2012.
