Shin Hye Sung’s special album “embrace” to be a collaboration of indie artists
Singer Shin Hye Sung will be releasing a new special album titled “embrace” on December 27th, which has been attracting attention as a collaboration project between indie and mainstream artists.
The singer previously hinted at this album during his encore concert in September when he revealed that “embrace” would step away from his ballad style and into more of the modern rock genre.
Rock band Mate’s Im Hun Il directed the entire album’s composition and brought together Walrus member and the indie scene’s greatest bassist, Yang Shi On, as well as pianist Kim Jung Ah of Dear Cloud, and singer-songwriter Park Asel.
As Im Hun Il will be enlisting in the army at the end of the year, he’s revealed that he’s poured his heart and soul into this album as his last project, showing off his deep friendship with the singer.
He stated, “The interest I had in idol turned senior musician Shin Hye Sung and his new style of music served as a refreshment for me before I begin my service in the army. Working with passionate people made producing the album a lot of fun. ‘embrace’ is special in and of itself, so please give it much love.”
“embrace” will be released on December 27th. Meanwhile, Shin hye Sung is preparing for a year-end concert that will contain songs from his upcoming release.
