Big Bang’s T.O.P talked about giving a joint performance with Gumi.
In the episode of MBC’s I Am A Singer that aired on December 11, T.O.P appeared in second competition of the tenth round to feature on Gumi’s performance. Gumi and T.O.P both belong to YG Entertainment.
The episode was a special feature of the group San Ul Lim. Gumi sang the group’s “Mischievous Kid” and T.O.P featured on the rapping part. T.O.P said, “I was so upset when she was ranked seventh, so I decided to help.”
Gumi said in confidence, “He has a voice which goes well with mine. He even wrote the lyrics on his own for the rapping part.”
All of the cast went through were checked before the actual competition, and Gumi, in particular, earned compliment from Kim Chang Wan after singing “Mischievous Kid.” Gumi started off in a dreamlike atmosphere then gave an impact by changing the song into a fast, lively tempo. In addition, she added some cute choreography to it.
After seeing the performance, Kim said, “She understands the song perfectly. The song seems to be more free-spirited than the original.”
Besides Gumi singing “Mischievous Kid” in the special feature of San Ul Lim, Juk Woo sang “In Front Of The Yard Alone,” Yoon Min Soo “What Should I Do”, In Sooni “Youth,” Bobby Kim “Nostalgia,” Kim Kyung Ho “Teacup,” and Jaurim “Silk Road In My Heart .”
