Seo In Young releases addictive vintage electronic “Oh My Gosh”
All songs of Seo In Young’s new mini album Brand New Elly, including “Oh My Gosh,” were released on online music stores on November 16.
Her title song is receiving rave reviews that it perfectly shows her unique style with strong electronic sounds, totally different from previously released, “It’s Funny.”
“Oh My Gosh” is in electronic genre, composed by Park Geun Tae, a hit song maker, in collaboration with Im Kwang Wook, a composer from Europe. They created addictive rhythms by using chopping sampling. Currently, it is the hottest among DJs in Netherlands and Germany.
Especially with deep bass, strong beats, and minimal sounds with simplified melodies, Seo’s unique voice is highlighted.
The lyrics of the song, which tries to warn two-faced men treating love lightly through wit and satire, are created by singer Yang Pa. It is interesting to see the intertwine of two artists from two different genres.
It is reported that Seo has prepared this album for a long time, personally collecting songs. Her album also includes “Magical Radio (Elly Mhz.),” a cheerful song with dynamic rhythms, “Girl,” in which Jewelry’s Ha Joo Yeon participated, and “So Sweet,” a song of sweet lyrics.
Seo is having a comeback performance on Mnet’s M Countdown on November 17.
