Kim Su Hyun,cast in the lead role of The Moon Embracing the Sun

Talent Kim Su Hyun was cast in the lead role of MBC’s drama, The Moon Embracing the Sun.

This is the first time for him to appear on a historical drama.

Kim is preparing for the first shooting and will play the role of Lee Hwon, an imaginary King of the Joseon Dynasty.

The drama will be aired starting next January.

The drama is a romantic fantasy historical story. In the story, King Lee Hwon and a dancer, Wol have fallen in love. The crew members call the drama as the Joseon edition of Boys Over Flower. Kim Su Hyun will perform with Han Gain. This is drawing lots of attention.

The agency for Kim Su Hyun said, “Kim has currently taken rest after finishing his shooting for the movie, The thieves, directed by Choi Dong Hoon. And he is waiting for shooting the drama.”

The agency added, “Because this is the first time for him to perform the historical drama,Kim is making zealous effort to play his role perfectly. There would be a little change in his style, as well. Once the shooting schedule is set, he will snap into it.”

The drama, The Moon Embracing the Sun,was written by Jin Soo Wan and was produced by Kim Do Hoon. The story originated from a best-selling novel.
